Strolling & Cocktail Hour
No stage, no start time, no one left out
Strolling is the opposite shape of a seated show. There is no moment when the lights change and the room turns around. Rick moves through your guests, working with four to eight people at a time, and the astonishment travels the room in waves as he goes.
That shape solves a problem a seated show cannot. Guests arrive across a whole hour. Some are at the bar, some are still parking, some will not sit down for anything. Nobody misses the show, because there is no single show to miss. Every group gets their own, close enough to touch.
Because it happens where your guests are already standing, it asks nothing of your venue. No floor space to clear, no microphone, no sound system, no setup window on the schedule. Rick walks in and starts.
Where strolling earns its keep
Strolling or a seated show?
Ask one question: will your guests be sitting or standing?
If they are standing, arriving across a window, or drifting between rooms, strolling is the right call. A seated show needs a moment you can actually give it, and a reception does not have one.
If they are at tables and you can hand over forty-five minutes, the seated show is stronger. It builds, and it ends on something everyone saw together.
For a longer evening with both, Rick usually recommends strolling through the reception and then a seated show once the plates are cleared. If you are not sure which your event is, describe the room when you write and he will tell you which one he would book.
